Arun Raghuraman is a data science/AI/software development guy by profession but a traveller at heart. Restless in his earlier days, he spent a lot of time searching for the ideal hobby while trying out everything from trekking to skydiving. A trip to Kenya in 2008 introduced him to birdwatching as a Masai guide took him along for a show-and-tell of the variety of birds in the resort near the Mara. He has spent a good part of his holidays in the last 15+ years travelling to birding spots across the length and breadth of India, and some outside as well. Somewhere along the way, he got his advanced open water diving license (SCUBA) and started to photograph underwater sea creatures. He continues to travel in his free time photographing birds, fishes, architecture, and landscapes. While not travelling, he is reading books or watching movies. He tells his stories at his blog.
